The U.S. Army was established by a resolution of the Continental Congress on June 14, 1775 to coordinate the military efforts of the Thirteen Colonies in their struggle against the rule of Great Britain. Since its establishment, the U.S. Army has played a vital role in the growth and development of our nation.

For Over 200 years, the United States Coast Guard has been protecting the public, the environment, and U.S. economic interests in the nation's ports and waterways, along the coast, international waters, or in any maritime region as required to support national security.

The United States Code is the Code of Laws of the United States of America (also referred to as Code of Laws of the United States, United States Code, U.S. Code, or U.S.C.) and is a compilation and codification of all the general and permanent Federal laws of the United States. The U.S. Code does not include regulations issued by executive branch agencies, decisions of the Federal courts, treaties, or laws enacted by State or local governments. Regulations issued by executive branch agencies are available in the Code of Federal Regulations. Proposed and recently adopted regulations may be found in the Federal Register.

Containing 51 titles, the main edition of the United States Code is published every six years by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel of the House of Representatives, and cumulative supplements are published annually to provide the most up-to-date information. Annual compilations on CD-ROM are typically produced as well. The last main edition was published for 2006, and the current 2012 edition started shipping in 2013.  Now arriving and shipping are the print volumes published as 2018 editions of the U.S.C!
