The Code of Federal Regulations Title 43 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to public land, range, minerals and forest preservation management and reclamation. Includes irrigation districts, rural water supply, pollution prevention, and management of wild free-roaming horses and burros. Covers public use and sale of public land resources, including recreation programs, grazing, timber / logging and oil shale leasing and management. 

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 44 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to Federal emergency management and assistance, including insurance and hazard mitigation, fire prevention and control, disaster assistance, and emergency preparedness. Covers shipping restrictions on hazardous materials.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title X contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to public welfare programs, including child support, family assistance, civil rights, refugee resettlement, national community service and Federally-supported arts, humanities and science programs.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 47 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to telecommunications and broadcasting in the United States.

Everyone in the radio and television broadcasting industry should have a copy of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules relevant to their operations. For most broadcast stations, this will include: 

  • Part 1 contains rules relating to RF exposure
  • Part 2 contains Frequency Allocations, including radio
  • Part 11 (Emergency Alert System)
  • Part 17 (Construction, marking and lighting of antenna structures)
  • Part 73 (Regulations for radio and TV)
  • Part 74 (Broadcast auxiliary, low-power TV and translators).

To get the copy of all of these FCC Regulations for broadcasters, you'll need to purchase two Code of Federal Regulations, Title 47, Telecommunication volumes: a) CFR Title 47 Parts 0-19, and b) CFR Title 47 Parts 70-79.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 48 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to the Federal Acquisition Regulations System or FARS.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to all forms of surface transportation and transportation security, including:  pipelines; railroads, both passenger and freight railways; waterways; cars, trucking, and highways.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 5 contains the codified Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication relating to senior administrative personnel for each Federal Department and Agency.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 50 contains the codified U.S. Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to wildlife and fisheries, including endangered species and international and commercial fishing and whaling regulations.

The Code of Federal Regulations Title 6 contains the codified Federal laws and regulations that are in effect as of the date of the publication pertaining to homeland security, privacy and civil liberties.
