Foreign Affairs & Policy

More than 200 years ago, the first Presidential cabinet department, the Department of Foreign Affairs, was established by the Congress. Later, the name was changed to the Department of State. To highlight the work of the U.S. Department of State and other Federal agencies in the area of international affairs, the U.S. Government Publishing Office  (GPO) offers for sale a special collection of publications designed for those interested in finding success in the inter-governmental relations and foreign policy.

Some highlights to this collection include:

Renowned print series, Foreign Relations of the United States (FRUS)  with new volumes added yearly, so check back often.

Numerous military policy books that deal wtih defense and national security issues, such as multinational operations, foreign government and policies,  government reform, and civil -military relations matters, and more.
